Location:
There are many advantages and disadvantages of taking images in certain locations. One of the reasons for this, is the weather. The weather has a big impact on how good or bad your image will be. For example, if it rains it could mean you would need to reschedule your photo shoot or choose a date where the weather forecast says the weather will be good. Also, with the weather it is uncontrollable, meaning that the weather could be good at one point, then change drastically at any given time.
Studio:
Studio photo shoots are good for photo shoots that allow you or the camera man to control the conditions. For example, it allows you control how much light will be used and when the shoot will be taken because, you wont have to rely on the weather. Studio shoots are mostly good for fashion and images that focus on an object rather than elements like location.
Events photography
Event photography particularly focus on images that aren't planned. For example, in sports images they will take images of a runner while he is running a race, because they want to focus on his facial expression and show his emotion during the race and after. These type of shots would be taken while people aren't posing for the camera.
Night shots
Night shots, like location shots also have disadvantages and advantages. Reasons for this can be that, it is harder because it would mean the camera man/women would always need to use a flash to take the picture but, if the image is taken in a location where the area is lit up well, a flash attachment wont be needed to help make the person or object be seen.
Moving objects
Moving image shots are images that very hard to capture. If you are wanting to take a picture of a moving bus, you can change the camera's shutter speed. If the speed is slowed down, the image will have a motion blur effect and if the image is sped up it would freeze the action.
· portraits (intended audience, official, unofficial, e.g. people, groups).
Portrait images are pictures that would tend to focus specifically on the face or faces of people in a image. Portraits are used to capture the emotion and feelings of someone or groups of people through their facial expression. They also tend to have an intended audience, meaning that it would be taken for a certain group of people
